My title was inspired by a story relayed by Caryn from the Caryn and Jeremy show, on KCBI. She read a verse somewhere, and the people that were listening said, “Amen” so I said Amen Hallelujah. I finally made it to Chick-Fil-A for breakfast the other day. It was so delicious. Sometimes I forget to go there, and get the pancakes at McDonald’s instead. But at least Chick-Fil-A had orange juice!
I just read my, “Pray the Bible in a year” e-booklet. The scripture was 1 John 2:15 (NKJV) Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. It is a warning, to those of us who love this world. I don’t have much but I struggle with this. The few things I have I do enjoy, like my computer games. But this is not what the Bible is condemning. John is writing about what JESUS said, when He said, “Be in the world, but not of it”. Our home is in Heaven, but one day when JESUS 1000 year reign is over, there will be a new Heaven and a New Earth. That is what Robert Jeffress teaches anyways.
In my favorite hymn, A Mighty Fortress there is a line, “Let goods and kindred go”. For myself, I always ask, “How do I do this, LORD?” Ah- but I have forgotten that JESUS is not just Lord. He is also a Friend, He will be my ever present help in this matter. The next line says, “The Body they may kill”. I do believe the Persecution is coming, where we will have to choose to obey GOD rather than men, and put our faith on display for the whole world. This is kind of a short post, but I just wanted to emphasize and reiterate what I think is coming.
