I started over. The Normal difficulty was just to difficult for me, currently. So, I began a new game of Europa Universalis III. I put it on “Very Easy”. Once I can form Germany a lot sooner, I will up the difficulty.
I made it to church today. The sermon came from Luke 18:9-14, delivered by the interim Pastor, Keith Kanavel. It was pretty good. He explained the theological history behind this parable of Christ JESUS. We also sang “Great is Thy Faithfulness” as our Hymn of Redemption. Karen introduced herself to me. I had met her before, but didn’t realize that was her name.
A scripture I came across, from an e-booklet I downloaded, is Romans 15:2 (NKJV) Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification.
The e-booklet also has a prayer over each verse. I went and altered the beginning though. It says Lord, but I prayed to our Father who art in Heaven. This is the way JESUS taught us to pray, so I believe we ought to pray this way. JESUS is much more than just some cold Lord- He is our Savior and our Friend too. We all need Him.
Anyways, back to my game. So, I restarted, and I am already doing pretty good. I got two vassals: Pskov in Russia, and Pomerania in Germany. So, the Teutonic Order is doing pretty good. That should keep the Danes at bay for a while. Plus, each vassal increases our force limit. The goal is to have the same amount of troops as Poland.
Interesting tidbit- the Personal Union between Poland and Lithuania already collapsed for some reason. This could be dangerous, as Portugal might claim the throne of Lithuania as it often does. This early, could be bad. Its ok when I have a massive amount of troops to rectify the situation. Anyways, thats enough about that. No screen shot this time.
After I went to church, I went to Mom’s house. She gave me a bag of goodies, and a magazine from “Voice of the Martyrs”. She offered me a coke, but she was out of cokes. So, she gave me a Dr. Pepper. I enjoyed that drink substantially as I drove back to my apartment. Now, this morning Mom will be teaching again. I was so tired, but I wanted to make sure I saw my Mom.
I also saw my Dad. He was watering his lawn, and had been on his computer. I expect he is a sleep by now. He said he will go hunting probably, this Saturday. Instead of on the 1st of September. Because he wants to hunt with David, and his boys.
