So, I ordered from KeyLife, Steve Brown’s series on Job. I heard a couple other series on Job, and remembered his. It was pretty extensive. So, I began reading Job, expecting the usual. But on reading through Job, up to chapter four, I found a lot of dialogue I didn’t remember. For example, Job condemns his own life, in his sorrow to his friends. Then, his friends said things to, about ghosts and stuff. It was fascinating. I learned a lot just from those chapters.
Then, to I have been reading through the Psalms. I am only at Psalm 3 but I am glad I am reading them. I heard the Psalms recorded on YouTube, and I was astounded at the things David would say. I didn’t know GOD would allow thoughts like that, about Himself in the Bible. I guess I am not the first person to have doubts. Yet, both King David and Job, in there doubts, praise GOD. That is what makes them different I think.
Anyways, not much is going on. I had my first dinner that I prepared in my apartment. It was a Salsbury Steak with Mac & Cheese. Yum. I loved every bite, too. Perhaps I will eat like that more regularly. I love eating out. But sometimes it can be expensive. Then, I played World of Warcraft Burning Crusade for a while. I didn’t quite make lvl 61. So, I need to do that. But I ended up getting some quests done. So, that was nice. Still in Hellfire Peninsula.
I have set about letting some people go in my life. But first I need to apologize. I pray that GOD will continue to bless the path, which I believe He has set out for me. I yearn for the peace of mind that comes from obedience. Long have I enjoyed the peace without understanding. It is truly amazing. I got into a discussion about infant baptism with a friend of mine. I told her a few things. One, is that in Proverbs we are taught to “Train up a child in the way they should go”. I told my friend, that basically, that includes baptism. Its not Politically correct. According to political correctness your supposed to let your child choose there religion. But when you read the Bible, that is just not the case. We are commanded to raise Godly men, and women for the next generation, and that includes baptism. It doesn’t matter what the world says. JESUS said to be mindful of where we lay up our treasures. We can lay up treasures here, on Earth where moth and rust get them. Or we can lay up treasures in Heaven. Lastly, although sometimes, people do wander from the path, JESUS gave us the parable of the Prodigal Son, and also the lost sheep to remind us that GOD will draw us back eventually.
If you obey GOD, then the work started will be brought to completion. Though, I do believe we need to show diligence and pray. Speaking of prayer, KCBI released a new E-booklet for praying the scriptures. I have committed to doing this. Its gonna take the whole year. I am starting in January. More and more, I find myself opening up to the Spirit as things go, and as I seek GOD. Maybe if you do the same, it will happen for you too. GOD’s Word will not return void, so if we pray it, it will happen.
A scripture I shared with my friend, as we discussed infant baptism is: John 3:16-17. For GOD so loved the world, that He sent His only begotten Son, that whoever believeth, shall have ever lasting life.
17 For GOD did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but that through Him, the world might be saved.
both of these are very comforting scriptures, and yet they are both convicting. Because, we know if we have sin, it is impossible to approach GOD. But thankfully, we have JESUS who died in the cross. When He died, we were forgiven, so that we might approach GOD and repent, you see. We are forgiven, but we need to repent. Repentance is more than just feeling sorry. It is also changing what we do. It takes the Holy Ghost to produce true change. But honestly, because of the work of JESUS on the cross, we can begin by approaching GOD, and repenting, and seeking forgiveness for our sins. By the blood of Him who has the power to forgive sins.
That is all for now.
