I have given some dire predictions. It is all true. But we need not be afraid, because it is the LORD who will be with us, as we suffer for His name. JESUS warned, that if we follow Him, we will be persecuted. This is the true reason, they persecute us, and seek to harm us. But they can do nothing to us, that GOD doesn’t allow. As Leading The Way states, say “Please forgive me” and JESUS will forgive you.
We are not yet upon the time of trouble. Trump is still President. He would humiliate the forces of evil, as he has shown, both during COVID, and with Iran. So, they won’t “act” now. They will align there forces, yes but they can do nothing. So, now is the time to gain a closer relationship with the LORD. In order to endure persecution, and achieve the crown, we must do accordingly.
It is not just about reading our Bibles. Yes, we need to do that too. But all the knowledge cannot save. This is a grave error, many evangelicals make, is that they think knowing the word can save them. News flash: The Pharisees knew the Bible forwards, and backwards. But they did not recognize JESUS. Neither would we, if we did not have the Holy Ghost.
Dear reader. I wanted to share this meme with you. Maybe you will recognize who is quoted.

See, sometimes I am able to reserve criticism. But often, I have to keep my mind on the LORD to do so. In that case, its easy! But apart from him, I would just complain, and whine, and be negative. That is what Charles Spurgeon’s point here is. Negativity, is driven out when GOD is on our lips, and in our hearts! The Bible warns us, to guard our lips. When we have the Holy Ghost, this is possible. Without Him, it is nearly impossible. Part of surviving difficult situations, is remaining positive. A part of remaining positive, is to give thanks for the trouble. Because in our troubles, is where we truly shine.
Everyone enjoys the good times. Then, it is easy to give thanks. It is possible, even to forget to do so during the good times. But during the bad times, we need to remind ourselves- we live by His grace. It is not mere luck, or chance that these troubles come upon us. But it is the sovereign will of GOD. I read a book by R.C. Sproul. It was a short book, about the sovereign nature of GOD. In it, Sproul claimed, GOD is either sovereign, over 9/11, and other events, or He is not GOD! That is quite a claim, and it explains a lot too. Sometimes we blame GOD. But instead of blaming GOD- when you catch yourself, go ahead, and give thanks. Even if its a flat tire, or some other inconvenience. By giving thanks in something like that, you can practice and maybe give thanks in almost any circumstance.
A form of praising GOD, is giving thanks. I cannot stress the importance of giving thanks, in all things. I have had times when I did was angry at GOD when things didn’t go right. But when I caught myself, I thanked GOD for my trouble and felt better. I can give a real example of this. I always wanted a KIA Soul. Well, I finally bought one for about $7500. Then, three months later, the engine got a hole in it! I was so furious, both at myself, and yes, at GOD. Why did GOD allow me to withdraw that much money, just to have the car die, in the end. But later, I thought “Well, I did get to drive the KIA Soul for three months” so I gave thanks for that.
This is not about looking on the bright side. A part of giving thanks is being honest with yourself. You have to acknowledge that the situation is inconvenient, or when the trouble comes, dire. Yet, we must give thanks in either situation. When I gave thanks for the engine dying- it was tough. But I did it. I felt better. Finally, later GOD provided a replacement.
Now, I don’t drive. Something happened, and at least around town, Uber is no longer $99 to go down the street. So, I think from now on, I will walk. Or take an Uber if its a ways down. I don’t like driving. It makes me uncomfortable, and when I was doing UberEats both times, I got into a collision. So, I had my mind on my money, not on driving. So, since thats the case, I refuse to drive. I save on insurance, and use the money for Ubering.
One thing I miss about driving, is listening to my music. I would listen to http://www.kcbi.org on the radio. It was so uplifting. Not only did it play music throughout the day. But in the morning, starting at 8:30 AM, they would play three sermons. Then, in the evening at 7:00 PM, they played a whole bunch of sermons, till 1:00 AM.
Well, anyway. I hope my story, uplifted and encouraged you. I know my previous post was full of dire predictions, and so that is why I wanted to post again. To let you know, we don’t have to fear the future. “I don’t know the day, but I know the One who knows the day” is from a song I heard. As long as we know him, we will be ok. More and more, I look forward to the coming world. Less, and less I am interested in the things of this world. Because as each year passes, less and less those things mean to me.
