A Farewell To Albertsons

I was going to walk to Chick-Fil-A, but instead my Dad drove me. Good thing. On the way home, I got so heated, I realized I never would have made it. I was so stoked for my walk to the restaurant, but my Dad suggested another way. He would drive me to Chick-Fil-A. It was nice riding with him, driving. I am now used to walking most places. Though, it is getting hotter.

Once my Dad dropped me off, I ordered my food. It didn’t take long. But I noticed Chick-Fil-A was crowded. It was lunch time, so it made sense to me. Instead of BBQ sauce, this time I wanted Buffalo Sauce. But normally I get the BBQ. It is pretty good, but all weekend I was desiring to have Buffalo Sauce. Here is what I ordered.

Of course, I adore there waffle fries. Once I slathered on some Buffalo, I dug in. It was delicious. I shared this image with a compadre on discord. He laughed, but I thought it was pretty good. Something about Chick-Fil-A- the Muslims enjoy it, too for some reason. I often see them at Chick-Fil-A, especially the one on Cooper. If the Christians and the Muslims ever know peace, it will be because of Chick-Fil-A.

Anyways, as I ate my food most of the people who had been there for lunch left. I noticed a server cleaning the tables too. Once I finished my meal, I put everything in the bag. It makes it easier to throw away. So, I did, and walked out of the restaurant. I enjoyed my meal, and thought it was pretty good. But I was ready for a cigarette. So, I walked over to the store, Albertson’s where they have a butt can and a bench.

I used to work here at Albertson’s. In April of 2020, I got the call for a job interview here. It was my first real job interview. I was so nervous. I mostly did Curtesy Clerk/Sanitation Clerk. My favorite duty was getting carts though. You could just never get enough carts. But here in the South, all you have to do is gather five at a time. No big deal. I worked there for a year and a half, before moving on to work as a Security Guard where I was getting paid more. I didn’t know, but I was supposed to put in a two week notice. Which I never did.

Eventually, I applied back to Albertsons cause I missed getting carts. It was a fun task, without many responsibilities other than making sure to not hit cars. I did not have to supervise anyone either. So, that part was nice too. Once I started collecting some disability, I re-applied but never heard back. That was in 2023. I would go hangout at Albertsons hoping to get hired. But they never did hire me back.

So, today I walked in. I saw the director. So, I told him I would not be available to work. I had put in an application a few weeks ago. But now I am trying to get unemployability through the VA. He looked shocked that I would tell him this. But, he wrote my name down. I think it was better to let them know, so they don’t call me. I would actually love to work back there, you know? I enjoy having a job and the responsiblity that goes with it.

Then, I moved on. I began walking to Starbucks. It took about 15 minutes to walk there, and I was already sweating though I walked part of the way in the shade. So, I was already hot, and it was refreshing to go back inside to Starbucks. But it took three servers to get my order. I didn’t know what I wanted at first. Originally, I just wanted coffee. But every now and then, I like a Frappuccino too! So, this time I decided to have a chocolate and vanilla frap. It was delicious! It cooled me down, and I got a bit of coffee with it too.

I sat outside for a while too. Might be another reason I was so sweaty later on. But anyways, I waited for this other guy to leave, so I could drink my frap and smoke again. But he wouldn’t leave. So, I found a table along the other side of the building away from him, and smoked there. It was enjoyable watching the people, come, and go. The parking lot is a true Seattle style parking lot, of this Starbucks, but it has cacti as well, for Texas.

Anyways, I began walking back to the house. Threw away my Frappuccino, before heading off. But I started to have to go to the bathroom. Instead of going back, I kept going. I stopped at CVS, to use there bathroom. I was glad to be relieved.

This is the Aloha Gang Discord. I think you might enjoy it. It is run by Tokahontas, who also does a live stream on twitch. Both the discord and live stream are fascinating. I can never get a good livestream going, so its neat to tag along with her, because she sets it up real nice. Anyways, there is a character in the discord named SIPARUSK, and he chats at me about Israel. He calls names, but both Tokahontas, and my Mom have asked me not to call names, so I don’t. Its pretty interesting though. He shares these fascinating links, but they are really just sink holes. I share a few links, but I mostly stick to memes which say something about Trump. Iran, or even Pete.

The Philippines

The Philippines is a place which came to mean a lot to me. First, when I was a kid I remember reading World War II books about the Japanese invasion of the Philippines and General MacArthur’s famous, “I shall return” speech. Then, I also had some Filipino friends growing up too. On top of that, I grew up in the Pacific Northwest. So, its attached to the same body of water, and both places help make up the “Ring of Fire” which includes both Washington and the Philippines. Not to mention I ended up meeting the USS George Washington, in Manila!

Here is from Voice of the Martyrs. Philippines: Using Acts 2:38 as a guide, pray that Islamists on the island of Mindanao will repent and be saved.

There is no compounding information, like there was with Benin and the Audio Bibles. But I have been reading about this place since I was a kid. After 9/11 I remember the terrorism there was pretty thick, unlike the rest of the country. It has gotten worse, it seems.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of JESUS Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

So, this is a call for repentance for the Islamists in this region of the Philippines. I used Google lens on the image, but found no compounding information. Just that there are those spreading the gospel among the muslim majority communities in the region. It was not until 9/11 that I learned about this particular region of the Philippines.

Well, thank you for reading my blog post! GOD bless you, and come again soon!
