Today, I went to church. I woke up at about 7:50 AM and made coffee. Then, I sat around smoking, and drinking coffee. After I did that for a while, I up and got ready. I took an Uber to the location on 500 W Abram in Arlington. I went to worship GOD but I had another reason to be at church as well. After church, I planned to walk to Mom’s house.
When I got to the church, I was early. I wasn’t quite ready to go in the church yet. But there was a McDonald’s close by. I took off for the McDonald’s because I had to use the restroom. Then, afterwards I smoked again. Then walked back to the church. The service started at 10:45 AM, so I was right on the dot when I entered. Everyone was seated, waiting for the service to begin.
The service was on Psalm 16. The Pastor explained we are commanded to call on GOD for help. To give thanks. That we will be wowed when we do this. Because GOD is gracious. He also explained that Psalm 16 is a Messianic psalm of David. It was really a good service.
We sang “All Creatures of Our GOD and King”. Then, after that we had a little bit of a fellowship time. One of the partitioners came up to me, Paul and said hello. So, I immediately explained, that twenty years ago I had missed a visit by his daughter Carol. If I had known Carol had come over, I never would have joined the NAVY. Carol was the antidote to Steph is why. I knew it then, too! The whole time I dated Carol, I never even logged into AIM. Didn’t need too.
So, now my goal is to reconnect with Carol, in someway. Hopefully, I planted a seed. I sure do miss her. She was a stand up girl, and she still looks beautiful too! She never called me a stalker, or said I was obsessed. She just accepted me. So, maybe I will get to re-connect with her, for a while. That would be so neat! I wish I had a pic of Carol.
Anyways, the church had a Life Change offering. I didn’t have any cash. So, I e-mailed Autumn and asked her for a way to give, online. I was able to give finally! GOD provided for that, too. So, I think my time at church was very good, and productive. GOD is good!
After the service let out, because Arlington Redeemer does Communion every week, I started walking. I didn’t wait for Paul to finish his duties, so I could stand around flapping my gums about Carol. As much as I would have loved too. But I wanted to get on to Mom’s house, and grab some lunch. So, I wet back over to McDonald’s. I had a Spicy McChicken. It was delicious. I was gonna order some food for my Mom’s dogs, cause I like to bring them treats once in a while, and had not done that in a while. But I decided against bringing them anything.
I am not sure how far I walked, but while I was walking to Mom’s, I got into a discussion in the discord about Israel. It was fascinating, but the guy kept insulting me. So, I shied away from truly arguing with him. He could barely put together a thought, or a sentence even. So, I shrugged it off. I read it all, but just kept walking. I started at just after noon, and got there about 2 PM sometime. So, I was walking for a long time. It just seemed to never end.
When I finally got to the house I told Mom all about my adventure. She asked if I had gotten a contact for Carol. I told her, I had not. Probably, because I didn’t stay. But anyways, maybe in the future I will find some way of contacting her. Where there is a will, there is a way!!!
Have you seen Napoleon Dynamite? The film was really good. I saw it, my first time back from Japan, with my parents. While they were still together. I was scrolling through YouTube and found this:
